Private Yoga & Mindfulness Classes

To make yoga truly accessible and provide the best personalised instruction, I like to teach one-on-one. This can be done in person (at your home), online, or through pre-recorded audio/video lessons customised to your needs. The cost for the intake and first hour of a new student includes a recording or written out sequence to suit your needs.

Cost: $100 per intake & first hour, then $75 per hour (plus travel costs to your location).

Introduction to Mindfulness – 12th March 2024

Where: Orepuki Community Hall / When: Tuesday 12th March, 6-7 PM / Cost $30 per person

Dive into the world of mindfulness with this introductory 1-hour session! We will explore:

  • What mindfulness is (and isn’t) – let’s dispel the myths!
  • How mindfulness can benefit you (and what it can’t do)
  • Practical tips for integrating mindfulness into your daily life
  • Guided mindfulness meditation experience
  • Informal mindfulness practices for daily activities

Join me for an informative and experiential session, offering a taste of mindfulness principles and practices. Breathing Workshop – 19th March 2024

Where: Orepuki Community Hall / When: Tuesday 19th March / 5:30-6:30 PM or 6:45-7:45 PM / $25 per session

This is a two-part workshop: Session 1 (5:30-6:30 PM) is suitable for beginners; Session 2 (6:45-7:45 PM) is for those who are already familiar with basic breathing techniques, and who would like to learn more yoga pranayama. You can sign up for one or both sessions; each session is $25.

Session 1: Enhance your breathing with simple breathing exercises

Learn to breathe better and use your breath to energise or relax. Perfect for beginners or those seeking a refresher on basic techniques. Explore breath observation, box breathing, 4-7-8 breathing, and more.

Session 2: Pranayama practices – yoga breathing practices

Dive into more advanced yogic pranayama techniques. Ideal for those familiar with basic breath observation and simple breathing exercises, who are keen to explore ujjayi, nadi shodhana, bhastrika, and more.

Chair Yoga – 2nd April 2024

Where: Orepuki Community Hall / When: Tuesday 2nd April 6-7 PM / Cost: $30 per person

Are you limited in mobility or live/work a sedentary lifestyle? Join me for this 1-hour session to learn a range of stretches you can do from/with your chair. These exercises will help combat the effects of prolonged sitting and provide a practical routine you can integrate into your daily routine. This workshop includes an audio recording and handout of a short stretching routine, so you can continue to implement these exercises at home/at work.

Introduction to Mindfulness – 4-Week Course, Invercargill

I teach a 4-week course for Mindfulness Works in Invercargill every couple of months.
